Dr. Abraham Nieva de la Hidalga is a Research Associate at Cardiff University and has been contributing to the UK Catalysis Hub since 2019 in data management and software development. He leads the development of the Catalysis Data Infrastructure and the Catalysis Research Workbench-platforms designed to support data publication and the evaluation of alternative software tools for catalysis research data processing and analysis. He currently leads a pathfinder project within the Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI), expanding on work initiated at the UK Catalysis Hub. Additionally, he is part of CDIF-4-XAS, a European project focused on defining an interoperable profile to facilitate the exchange and reuse of data from X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy experiments. Dr. Nieva de la Hidalga earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and has extensive experience in international research projects spanning biodiversity informatics, environmental infrastructures, and digital specimen digitisation.
