Matthew Rosseinsky is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in the Materials Innovation Factory at the University of Liverpool. His work focuses on the synthetic chemistry, design and discovery of solid-state materials, which have applications including energy storage, communications, and catalysis. He was a member of the governing Council of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council from 2015-2019. In 2023, Professor Rosseinsky received the Eni Energy Frontiers Award for the digital design and discovery of next-generation energy materials from the President of Italy. He was awarded the OBE in 2024 for services to materials chemistry research and innovation.
